Now Are Some Awesome Times As We Near The End Of The World

Since the discover of the 2012 predictions, there has been a great deal of apprehension as to when will the world end. However, now that we are so close to this date, we also gather all the other predictions of the end times and find that there are far too many similarities to ignore. What’s really scary, is how they come from such different time periods and different places in the world.

When looking back throughout history, there is no other date that has so much in common with other cultural and religious beliefs regarding the time the world will end. It all started with the Mayan long count calendar that was designed thousands of years ago and is set to end on December 2012. What makes this so real, is that the Mayans are one of those ancient civilizations that had advanced techniques in mathematics and solar record keeping.

Who hasn’t heard about Nostradamus, a household name associated with future predictions, who wrote in his books about the end times. He describes a solar event that will transform the way mankind lives forever. Ironically, today’s astronomers are also predicting a major event about the same time period. In reviewing the two predictions more closely, you will discover a great deal of similarity that will be shocking.

Even the most famous book of them all, has a great deal to say about the end times and it describes today so clearly. In the book of revelations it describes jet planes “they had breast plates like that of iron and the sound of their wings were as many chariots that rush into battle”. It even describes a giant mushroom cloud that will cover a third of the world. Reading this book and so close to the year 2012 can have a very alarming reaction.

In closer study of these many predictions and prophecies, you will find that they don’t necessarily describe the total destruction of the world but, rather a transformational event. This does not mean that we wont survive but, only that may very well change the way we live our lives. Perhaps, we should be preparing today for what may very will be happening tomorrow.

Once you’ve looked into and evaluated these many predictions and prophecies, you will find it very hard to write them off as being a coincidence. They all have so much in common and their accuracy can be uncanny when comparing what they say to modern day times.

Alan Schulman has done a great deal of investigation on the variety of prophecies and predictions, that aim to the apocalypse, and offers some very revealing insight on when will the world end.

The Mayan Calendar 2012 – Does Is Really Predict The End Of The World?

21st December 2012 – The end of the world, This is what the Mayan prophecy predicts.

In the Mayan prophecy it is said that the Great Cycle ends and the world as we know it will stop being. A new age will begin. So what is the Great Cycle? The Great Cycle has a total of 25,625 years. It is then further divided into five cycles. Each of the five cycles consists of 5,125 years.. According to the Mayan Long Count calendar, we are nearing the end of the fifth and final cycle. The Winter Solstice on December 21, 2012 is said to be the last day of this cycle.

The ending of a cycle and the beginning of a new age is something that is not quite understood by a lot of folks and there is much debate as to whether this prophecy is believable or not. So-called Doomsday prophets of course have jumped on the idea and said that the world will indeed end on that date. These Doomsday prophets say that a number of big disasters will take place, which will clean the world, so the new age can begin. One supporter of the Doomsday prophecies is Emmerich’s end of the world movie 2012.

However, it should be clarified that the Mayan experts say that the coming of the new age is nothing more tha a warning to humans to change their way of living. They have said that there is no hard evidence supporting any kind of doomsday scenario in any of the ancient Mayan text found.

The Mayans lived in Central America from the sixth to 9th centuries A.D and had a very developed culture.

One thing that makes a lot of people anxious is that there are other prophecies like Nostradamus or the Bible that predict some form of apocalypse in the 21st century and several of them state that it is going to happen 2012..

Now that you know more about the Mayan calendar, 2012 and what the prophecy states and doesn’t, what do you think will happen in 2012? Whatever path you choose to believe in, there is truth to the Mayan Prophecy 2012. What happens after that date is yet to be seen.

Whether you believe that the Mayan calendar 2012 points to a real global disaster or not, it would be best if you will keep yourself informed.

The Prediction for 2012: What Do They Reveal To Us?

The 2012 prediction consists of certain eschatological beliefs that dreadful or transformative events will take place in 2012 – December 21 precisely. This date is said to be the end-date of a 5,125 year-long sequence in the Long Count Calendar Mayan. Different numerological formula as well as astronomical alignments have been put forward in association with December 21 2012; however, not even one of these propositions have been acknowledged or welcome by mainstream scholarship so far.

Scholars from different disciplines have waved off the belief that a dreadful event will take place in 2012 on the basis that the 2012 predictions of a looming doom are not part of Maya accounts, and that they are also not recorded in contemporary science accounts. Again, Mainstream Maya scholars have stated that the statement which says that the long count calendar ends in 2012 is misrepresentative of Maya history. They also said that there is no substantial importance attached to this date by the present day Maya

The following is the subject matter of the prediction focused on 2012:

As supposed by the New Age account of this change, there will supposedly be a shift of spiritual consciousness or physical life. Additionally, this change suggests that 2012 may be the indication of a new age.

On the other hand, some are of the opinion that the 2012 date will usher in the end of the world or something close to it in a catastrophic manner. One of the predictions for the end of the world in association with the 2012 prediction is the Earth’s collision with “Nibru” (which is usually called a passing planet) or “black hole”. They also posited the entrance of the next solar maximum.

As long as fifty-three years ago, in 1957, the early astronomer and Mayanist – Maud W. M., recorded in his writings that the end of a major period of 13 b’ak’tuns may hold some meaning for Maya. Then, in 1966, the avowal that was issued forth in Maya by Michael D. Coe (who made an aspiring statement) that said Armageddon would happen to those who are reverting, meaning all living things, on the final day of the 13th – b’ak’tun. Consequently, our present world was annihilated as soon as the cycle of the Long Count came to a close, which was that supposed date in December of 2012.

Once again, though, astronomers and scientists believe that the absence of these imminent events in astronomical observations, means that this end of days prediction is not realistic. And, the anticipated events that have sprung from these conclusions, have not been validated, according to these scientists and astronomers. NASA has pointed out the similarities between the 2012 predictions and the Y2K scare of the late 1990s, and NASA suggests that when events such as these are being examined, catastrophic fears should not come into play.

In conclusion, critics of 2012 predictions are of a strong opinion that the collective knowledge of humanity could only predict events such as stock market crashes, terrorist attacks or human-associated events, but not events like the end of the world or even an earthquake.
